Petaluma Arts Association has been selected to receive the OADS/UCPNB 2015 Community Partner of the Year Award in appreciation of the inclusive work PAA has consistently forged for the past 3 years to include OADS artists into the mainstream of the arts community of Sonoma County.
Elaine Larson will accept this award on behalf of PAA at the elegant “UCPNB Grapes and Gratitude” event on September 17th at the Jacuzzi Family Winery in Sonoma.
The following is an excerpt from the letter PAA received:
The Gratitude Awards recognize a business or agency that has made an outstanding contribution to supporting people with physical and/or developmental disabilities. UCP of the North Bay is proud to honor you and the Petaluma Arts Association for their efforts to support an inclusive environment for our artists from the Open Studio at OADS. You and the Petaluma Arts Association stand as an example of what can be done by community citizens to include and support people with disabilities.
