Would you like to have a Gallery here? It 's a benefit of being a Petaluma Arts Association Member!
Gallery instructions:
Please follow the steps carefully. Do not omit any of them, they are all important. If there is something you do not understand, don't 'try something' - ask for help and we will assist you.
Important - If you have a popup blocker, disable it temporarily so that you can respond to the gallery's questions.
1) Request Login and Password from Lenny
2) Log in
Go the the petalumaarts.org site.
Choose the Gallery link on the left navigation panel.
Click on the Login link at the far right.
Enter the Username and Password you have been given.
3) Set up your album
When you log in you will see a number of additional options where the Login link was.
Click on New Album.
This will take you to a new page where it says, "Hey, add some Photos."
4) Rename the Album
On this page, in the same area where the Login link was is a new pull-down menu called "Admin Options".
Choose the Item called Rename Album. A small popup window will appear. Put in your Album Name. You might choose Jon Doe's Photos or Jane Does Watercolors. It's your choice, but its recommended that you include your name so people can find your gallery.

5) Review the options
Add Photo is for filling up your Album.
Add Photos allows you to add more than one at a time.
Custom Fields allows you to add additional info - we would prefer you not use this at this time.
Edit Captions allows you to review and edit all the captions in your album at once. Very handy.
New Nested Album- we would prefer you not use this at this time.
Permissions - we would prefer you not use this at this time.
Poll Properties - we would prefer you not use this at this time.
Poll Reset - we would prefer you not use this at this time.
Poll Results - we would prefer you not use this at this time.
Properties - This is where you can choose a background color for your album, change from 2 columns of three to 3 of 3, or any other configuration, and a whole host of other things. Please change only what you understand. There may very well be options in here that break things.
Rename Album - this you have already done.
View Comments - this is for viewing all the comments together.
6) Add your photos.
You must use digital files, jpegs, of your artwork. Keep the file sizes within 100K per image. You can set the width to 400-500 pixels. The easiest way to create these files is to "Save for Web" in Photoshop. If you are unfamiliar with doing this, staff at the Petaluma Art Association can help.
7) Title Your Gallery
Click the link on the far right where it says Gallery: Petaluma Arts (with the up arrow) to navigate up in the structure. You will be brought to the main gallery page. Find your gallery. As we get more and more galleries in here, this may be on a subsequent page.
To the right of the image of your gallery you will see the word "Untitled" in the blue area. Click on the words "Edit Title" to the right of this text and put in the name of your gallery. (It should match the name you titled it originally.)
Note: Below the title bar, there are additional options. If you had not had the time to enter photos or your work, you can return to this page and click on the url to get to the inner page to add photos.
8) Log Out
Click on the Log out link to see how the gallery will appear to everyone else.
You can come back anytime and log in to add/modify images, change the order in which they appear, and read the comments from your fans.
Additional things you can do.
When you go inside your gallery and log in you will see another pull down menu underneath each photo. There are a couple of very useful options in there...
You can Rotate the Photo, change its place in the order of display and "highlight", which places it as the first item in the gallery, and as the image that shows up on the galleries page.
If you have your own site, and would like to simply link to it, here's a suggestion. Add a gallery for yourself, and add one of your favorite images to it. In the caption, put a link to your site.
